Check this option to have the Telnet Connection display its own error messages. Many applications display error messages to keep you informed, and keeping this option turned on may result in duplicate messages.
Check this option if you want to display a TCP menu in the menu bar. The TCP menu lets you transmit control characters when using the Telnet protocol, issue other Telnet-related commands, and perform FTP operations.
This field allows you to specify which “protocol port” to use on the remote host at connection time. The default value is 23 (Telnet port).
Check this option if you want the TCPack to accept a binary mode negotiation initiated by the remote host. This is necessary to use some terminals such as the IBM-3270.
Check this option if you want the TCPack to request a binary mode connection from the remote host. It should not be checked in normal usage.
Check this option if you want the TCPack to request echo from the remote host. It must not be checked to use some terminals such as the IBM-3270.
Check this option if you want to discard incoming linefeed characters following a carriage return. This option is activated only if a binary mode connection has not been negotiated.

This field lets you specify the terminal name to use in the Telnet protocol negotiations, if the name doesn’t appear in the Official Terminal Types listed below.
